Flexible Spending & Health Savings Accounts
Schedule your FREE LASIK consultation at St. Michael’s Eye & Laser Institute by calling 727-585-2200.
Already enrolled this year? Use the funds you’ve set aside before they expire—most Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs) end at the close of the calendar year. Use it or lose it!
Not enrolled yet? Ask your HR Manager if your employer offers a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) and when enrollment opens. By having your consultation first, you’ll know if you’re a candidate and exactly how much to allocate for LASIK.
When it’s time for your procedure, pay with your Flex Plan card or submit your receipt for reimbursement (depending on your plan’s rules). Best of all, once you’re enrolled, your funds are usually available immediately—you don’t have to wait until the end of the year.
Enjoy clear vision with major savings!
Why It Saves You Money
Every paycheck you pay taxes. By using an FSA or HSA, you can pay for LASIK with pre-tax dollars—meaning less money to the IRS, more savings for you.
- Example: If you put $5,000 in your FSA/HSA for LASIK, you could save up to $2,000 in taxes (depending on your bracket).
- That makes your real cost closer to $3,000 instead of $5,000.
Timing Matters
Most companies hold FSA/HSA enrollment in the fall. That makes now the perfect time to:
- Schedule your consultation.
- Confirm candidacy for LASIK.
- Know exactly how much to set aside.
Reminder: Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) often roll over year to year, but Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) typically do not. Any unused balance usually expires at year-end.
